Project Bedroom

I trust that you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating all the amazing moms out there? We celebrated my mama from afar and made my mother-in-law some pimento cheese and hit up the Dunwoody Art Festival. It ended being a great day for a festival considering that Atlanta hasn't seen a sunny weekend in far too long.

This weekend, I put some finishing touches on Project Bedroom, starting with moving around some pillows. The Leontine bolster below is one of my favorite pillows in our house and the black and white pillows from Furbish make me happy.

I also finished my bedside tables. These guys have been natural, black, silver, and navy. But the navy was far too navy so they are now a blue-ish gray. And I like it but the black knobs had to go...

... Samson said so.

I went with these antique brass lion head pulls from the Home Depot and must admit that I'm so happy with how they turned out.

I love when moving pillows around and inexpensive knobs do the trick.

Happy Weekend + Mother's Day

I honestly can't believe that it's Friday. It's always a good week when this day sneaks up on you out of nowhere, like a vacation that's been planned and then just appears.

Happy mother's day weekend to all the moms out there! I'm sending out special love to my mama and mother-in-law this weekend! Thank you for giving yourselves to others without hesitation and with a happy heart. xo

Blue & White. Forever.

My affinity for blue and white goes way back. Even further than middle school, but it was middle school when the neutral and soothing color combination really shaped me.

My room was covered in a blue and white fabric toile print that was so beautiful we didn't want to take it down. I thought that it was so cool that my fabric walls matched my blue wireless phone and it was even cooler that my parents gave me my own phone line. I have a few pictures of it... must find them!

In the years since that bedroom (which I would kill to have as an adult!), my fondness for the classic pair only grows stronger.

All pictures are from my Blue and White Pinterest board. Because, why wouldn't you have a blue and white Pinterest board?

Montreal

Montreal was a fabulous quick trip that was equally full of good food and friends. Jessica's maid of honor rented us an amazing apartment that was within walking distance or a short cab to everywhere we needed to go.

The city is unreal. It's the perfect mix of European city, fashion forward and beautiful. Not to mention, we have some pretty good memories there like my sister's first legal drink when she was 18 and a college tour with my mom that resulted in lots and lots of snow and me proclaiming then and there that I'd only go to university in the south.

Jessica was the most beautiful bachelorette. I can't believe that my oldest friend is getting married NEXT WEEKEND. Bring it on!

Happy Weekend

It's finally Friday. I've been waiting for this weekend for MONTHS.

I'm off to my sister from another mother's bachelorette party in the amazing city of Montreal. I love this girl so much so I can't wait to celebrate her in the city where she and her fiance met (and side note... my sister and I were visiting when they went on their first date years ago!).

I'll be back next week with pictures and a fresh perspective on life. Canada can do that to you, trust. In the meantime, have an amazing weekend. Drink a mint julep while watching the Derby and then have a margarita on Sunday for Cinco de Mayo. Cheers! x
